To all sensitive ears out there (providing yours are still intact and rot-free), Runner 17, our resident music expert, wants to know if anyone else remembers this song?
Winner gets a free copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Note: I am told we do not actually have any free copies to give out. Thanks, Janine.
Does anyone have a problem with decorating the zombies milling about the front gate all in the spirit of being festive?
Like, say we casually dump a can of green paint over the wall and call it a day?
Sometimes I wonder if I have too much free time on my hands…
Rajit’s novel has apparently gone missing.
He’s offering a reward (clean underwear and hot showers) for whoever finds it and returns it intact.
In the mean time, he’s offered to read excerpts from his story in the quad every day at noon until it’s found.
This is Runner Seventeen, AKA Steph Miller and you’re listening to Radio Abel!
I’m sure you’re wondering why your regular hosts have been replaced by the sound of my sweet tones on your airwaves. Well, I was recently involved in an altercation in which I was incredibly badass and amazing and brave but unfortunately I won’t be running for quite a while and, well… they had to keep me out of trouble somehow.
Jack’s watching me like a hawk - I’m not touching anything, Jack! - so I promise I won’t break anything. You’ll still get your Radio Abel even after I’m done playing!
Anyway, I get to pick the song, so here’s one for everyone still out on the road. It’s a dangerous world out there, so stay safe! Mwah! Steph out!
…
U-um, Jack, how do put the music on-?
Don’t touch anything. Allow me.
Happy birthday to our old man, Runner Three! The big 3-0
He’s passed along the message that he will be accepting gifts on his doorstep today between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. … and that the more risqué ones should line up in an orderly fashion by his bedroom door. Um, alright?
From us here at Radio Abel, we wish you a good one, Simon!
This is possibly the best news I’ve heard since Janine got the wires working after that unexpected snowstorm.
So Jody and Rajit managed to stitch together a makeshift Santa costume for one of Abel’s more daring residents.
I tried to rope in Evan to sit around the square for a day so the kids could each get their turn to tell him what they wanted, but he didn’t seem overly keen on it.
Then Sara volunteered?
Well, I suppose whatever works. Only if Janine is Mrs. Claus though.
Are there any runners out there who come across hats, mittens, scarfs and/or pairs of wooly socks in abundance? Like a certain runner with sports bras
Abel Township would really appreciate any donations you may have for us. In exchange, we’ve got plenty of clean underwear and tooth rags (in different colours) that might be of use for you, and I’ll even throw Eugene’s crutches in for free!
Scratch the part about Eugene’s crutches.
But seriously, let us know via ham radio. Your help would be much appreciated.
